Acme Tree Services Ltd have recently attained the status of ARB Approved Contractor (ArbAC). This accreditation means that Acme have been thoroughly assessed and inspected by the Arboricultural Association (a national tree care industry body) and has met the highest standards in both the business operation and their work standards which is in accordance with British Standards 3998:2010 Recommendations for Tree Work.
Acme has also achieved CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) Accreditation which means that their operations are carried out safely and in accordance to H&SE requirements.
These achievements have taken considerable time, commitment and financial investment and it demonstrates the business is keen to improve and progress by meeting such high industry standards.
Speaking on behalf of the Arboricultural Association, Paul Smith, ArbAC Scheme Manager, said “It is unfortunate that the industry has more than its fair share of ‘less scrupulous’ contractors and often price is sometimes the determining factor when people want tree work carried out and ‘best value’ and ‘quality’ is overlooked. This is a short sighted approach and often the trees are damaged irreparably and future expensive remedial works are then required. By employing an ARB Approved Contractor and listening to their professional advice this would be avoided.”
Mike Evans, Managing Director of Acme Tree Services Ltd, said “It’s taken 13 years of hard work but we are absolutely thrilled that Acme has now officially been recognised for its efforts. We have a great team working for us who are all highly skilled due to our continued training programme and we look forward to developing and expanding the business in the coming years.”
